We are not just pioneers in galvanizing chemicals—we also offer state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing services to ensure superior corrosion protection for steel structures and components. With a commitment to quality, we deliver durable, long-lasting coatings that meet industry standards.
Degreasing is the initial surface preparation stage, where oil, grease, dirt, and other contaminants are removed from steel components using suitable cleaning solutions. This helps prepare the steel surface for effective pickling and galvanizing.
During pickling, steel components are immersed in a controlled acid solution to remove rust, mill scale, and surface oxides. This cleaning process prepares the steel for proper zinc bonding during hot dip galvanizing.
Fluxing helps remove residual oxides and prevents further oxidation before galvanizing. The prepared steel is treated with a suitable flux solution to promote proper wetting and metallurgical bonding when immersed in molten zinc.
Zinc Bath Temperature
At HCI Galvamet, hot dip galvanizing is the core of our steel protection process. After thorough surface preparation, cleaned and fluxed steel components are immersed in a molten zinc bath maintained at approximately 450°C. This process forms a strong, metallurgically bonded zinc coating that provides excellent corrosion resistance, enhanced durability, and long-lasting protection against rust and harsh environmental conditions.
